ALV-5000/EPP, External Correlator with EPP Communication
The enhanced and external version of the ALV-5000/E. Connected to the PC via the EPP board (additional, PCI based EPP board is part of the delivery), it ensures - unlike many USB connections - a stable and still fast communication from/to the PC. The ALV solution
for the EPP board features more than 1 MByte/s sustained data transfer rates (actual rates are PC dependend). Since the ALV-Correlator is the sole device attached to this port, no “bandwidth sharing” or power supply considerations or other complicated mechanisms must be applied by the user - “plug&play” rather than “plug&pray” is the result.
In comparison to the ALV-5000/E, the ALV-5000/EPP features even faster initial sampling times (125 ns instead of 200 ns in SINGLE
MODE, 250 ns instead of 400 ns in DUAL MODE). An AC/DC switching power supply (93 ... 265VAC, 50 ... 60 Hz) is part of delivery as well.
